Uniden Voice for Agriculture

You are eleven kilometres from the house. The buyer is on the phone.

Agriculture has the worst possible combination: enormous properties, unreliable mobile coverage, and buyers, agronomists and contractors who all need you at once during the only weeks that matter.

The bit nobody counts

Commodity prices move while your phone rings out

Agricultural decisions are time sensitive in a way few businesses are. A missed call during harvest or at a market peak is not an inconvenience, it is a price you did not get.

1Markets move within the day. A buyer confirming a price is offering you a window. Missing the call can mean missing the price.
2Contractors and machinery cost money while idle. A contractor waiting on a decision is a contractor charging you or leaving for another job.
3Coverage is genuinely bad. This is not a discipline problem. Large parts of your property simply cannot receive a call.
Six things every producer says out loud

You have said at least four of these this month

These are not phone problems. They are the reality of running a business across thousands of hectares.

01

Coverage does not reach your whole property

There are paddocks where a call simply cannot connect, and that is where you spend most of your day.

The agent answers in the cloud, so the caller is never left ringing out.
02

Harvest is when everything happens at once

Buyers, contractors, agronomists, freight and machinery dealers all need you in the same fortnight.

Everything answered, triaged and passed on without you stopping.
03

Nobody is in the office

The office is a room in a house that is empty from dawn until dark during the season.

The office is now wherever the agent is, which is everywhere.
04

Price and delivery details get garbled

Tonnages, grades and delivery windows taken by ear on a bad line is how disputes start.

Every call recorded and transcribed, with details read back.
05

Family and business share one number

Your mobile is both, so business calls arrive during dinner and personal calls arrive mid harvest.

A business number with hours, separate from your own.
06

Two way radio does not reach buyers

You have good comms on the property and nothing that connects a buyer in Melbourne to a header at dusk.

One business identity that works on the property and off it.
Watch one of them get saved

6:50pm at harvest. The buyer gets an answer.

This is the call that used to ring out in a paddock. Here it is being answered by a Uniden Voice AI phone agent, in an Australian accent, from what you told it about your operation.

It sounds like it is from here. Genuine Australian voices, which matters to buyers and contractors alike.
It knows your operation. What you produce, your grades, your delivery arrangements and who handles what.
It captures numbers precisely. Tonnages, grades and prices read back, because a bad line is where disputes start.
It reaches you when it matters. Urgent calls follow you, and the rest waits until you are out of the paddock.

AgentGood evening, thanks for calling. The team is out in the paddocks at the moment, but I can help. What is it regarding?
BuyerI am confirming a price for the barley. I can do three hundred and forty a tonne delivered, but I need an answer tonight.
AgentUnderstood, and that is time sensitive so I will get it to him directly. Can I confirm that is three hundred and forty dollars per tonne, delivered, and how many tonnes are you looking for?
BuyerYes, three forty delivered, and I want four hundred tonnes.
AgentFour hundred tonnes of barley at three hundred and forty delivered. Which delivery window are you working to?
BuyerWithin the next fortnight.
AgentI have that recorded and I am sending it to his mobile now with a priority flag. He will call you back tonight.
What happened while you were on the header
  • Buyer answered immediately rather than reaching no signal
  • Price, tonnage and delivery window captured and read back
  • Flagged as time critical and pushed straight to your mobile
  • Full recording and transcript, so the terms are not in dispute later
One number, the whole operation

A buyer with a price should never reach a ringing tone

Publish one number. Behind it, buyers and time critical calls reach you wherever you are, contractors and freight get their own queue, and nothing depends on coverage in a paddock.

Seasonal peaks

Your entire year is decided in a few weeks

Agricultural call volume is the most concentrated of any industry. Sowing and harvest windows produce enormous spikes in buyer, contractor and freight calls, and those are the weeks you are physically never near an office.

An AI agent answers every one of them, captures the detail precisely, and gets the time critical ones to you wherever you are, instead of letting a market window close because of coverage.

Your phone should know which buyer is calling

Uniden Voice connects to more than a thousand apps and offers open APIs, so a call arrives with the buyer or contractor and their history attached rather than just a number.

01 · ON THE RING

Screen pops before you say hello

The caller's name, their history and their open contract appear on the handset or in the app as it rings, so the first thing out of your mouth is their name and not "who am I speaking with".

02 · DURING THE CALL

Click to call from anywhere

Ring a buyer straight from the record in your farm management or accounting system, without ever typing a number. Fewer wrong numbers, and every call logged against the right file automatically.

03 · AFTER THE CALL

Notes that write themselves

Recording, transcript, AI summary and the next action land in your CRM or your shared drive. Nobody has to remember what was promised on a Friday afternoon.

Why Uniden, and not the other twelve

A brand that has been in Australian farm vehicles for decades

Uniden has been making the radios and communications gear on Australian properties since 1966. Very few AI phone platforms understand rural reality, and almost none are Australian owned, hosted and supported.

Onshore, end to end

Designed and built in Australia, hosted in Australian datacentres, and supported by Australians you can actually get on the phone. Your customer conversations do not leave the country.

An accent that lands

The AI answers in a genuine Australian voice. It matters, because a caller who thinks they have reached an offshore call centre hangs up before you get the chance to help them.

Desk, pocket and back office

The EVOC2 desk handset where you want something solid to grab, plus real Uniden apps for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. Same number, whether you are at a desk or out in a paddock.

One provider, one bill

Keep your numbers including 1300 and 1800, and take the NBN connection from us too. Fewer vendors to chase when something goes wrong at the worst possible moment.

Straight answers

The questions producers ask us first

Will this work when I have no mobile coverage?

The important point is that the agent answers in the cloud, not on your handset. So a buyer never hears a ringing tone just because you are in a gully with no bars. The call is answered, captured and the detail sent to you the moment you have signal again.

For your own calls, the apps work over any data connection including satellite internet and fixed wireless, so where you have property internet you have a working phone.

Can it reach me urgently if a price is on the table?

Yes, and this is usually the rule people care most about. Time critical calls, such as a buyer with a firm price, can be flagged and pushed to your mobile immediately, or the agent can attempt to connect them straight through.

Everything else, such as suppliers and general enquiries, is handled and waits until you are out of the paddock.

Can it take tonnages and prices accurately?

This is one of its genuine strengths, because it reads figures back every time. Tonnages, grades, prices and delivery windows are confirmed on the call and recorded, which removes the ambiguity that bad lines create.

The recording and transcript then exist if terms are ever disputed.

What happens when the AI cannot help?

It hands over, and you decide where. Any price negotiation, contract terms and anything commercially binding can go straight through to a person, to a specific queue, or to a manager's mobile.

The caller is not asked to repeat themselves either. Whoever picks up gets the context the agent already gathered. Outside hours the agent takes the details, sends an SMS confirmation and queues the callback.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. Number portability is standard, including 1300 and 1800 numbers, so the number on your existing property and business numbers and on years of Google results stays exactly as it is.

We port it across and plan the cutover around your hours, not ours.

What happens if the internet drops?

Calls keep flowing. The mobile app keeps working over 4G and 5G, so your people can answer on their handsets while a site connection is down, and call flows can be set to divert to mobiles automatically.

You can also take your NBN service from Uniden Voice, so the connection and the phone system are one provider with one support number, instead of two companies each suggesting the problem belongs to the other.

How long does it take to get running?

A single site can be live quickly, because the apps need no hardware and the handsets arrive ready to plug in. The part worth doing properly is the call flow and the AI agent's knowledge of your business, and we build that with you rather than handing you a manual.

Number porting is the one step with an external timeline, so we usually run your new setup alongside the old line until the port completes. You never trade a day without a phone.
