Uniden Voice for Hospitality

Peak trade triples the calls. It has never once tripled the staff.

Hospitality runs on a roster set to the trade you expect and stretched by the trade you get. The phone is the first thing dropped when a service gets busy, and the phone is carrying your bookings.

The bit nobody counts

Your roster cannot flex, but your phone has to

Labour is your largest controllable cost, which means your roster is always set slightly below what a busy night needs. The phone absorbs that gap, and the phone is where your bookings live.

1You cannot roster for a spike. Staffing for the busiest possible night would destroy your margin, so every busy night is understaffed by design.
2The phone is the first thing dropped. When it gets busy, guests in front of you win, correctly. The phone simply stops being answered.
3Bookings and functions arrive by phone. The two highest value contact types are the ones your busiest nights cannot handle.
Six things every venue operator says out loud

You have said at least four of these this month

These are not phone problems. They are labour cost problems that arrive down a phone line.

01

Rostering for peak is unaffordable

Staffing for your busiest possible night would ruin your margin. So the phone is what gives.

Phone capacity that scales without a single extra hour of labour.
02

Guests in the venue rightly win

You cannot ask a staff member to abandon a table to answer a phone. Nor should you.

Nobody has to choose, because the agent answers everything.
03

Function enquiries need real information

Numbers, dates, spaces, minimum spends, dietaries and deposits. Rushed, they either fall through or go wrong.

The full checklist run every time and confirmed in writing.
04

Casual staff churn constantly

You cannot train a phone system into a workforce that turns over every season.

Nothing to train. The agent answers before a casual has to.
05

No shows cost you the whole cover

Confirming bookings is a job nobody has time for, so no shows stay high.

Outbound AI agents can confirm every booking the day before.
06

Multi venue makes it worse

Two or three venues and calls land at the wrong one, with no ability to cover for each other.

One number, routed per venue, with overflow between them.

7:05pm at full capacity. The function is still quoted.

This is the call that used to ring out mid service. Here it is being answered by a Uniden Voice AI phone agent, in an Australian accent, from what you told it about your venue.

It sounds like it is from here. Genuine Australian voices, warm and unhurried, not a call centre accent.
It knows your venues and rules. Spaces, capacities, sittings, minimum spends, packages and deposits.
It works across all your venues. One number, and it knows which venue suits the enquiry.
It confirms bookings for you. Which attacks no shows, the other half of the covers problem.

AgentGood evening, thanks for calling. How can I help?
OrganiserI am organising a work function for about forty five people in early December. What can you do?
AgentForty five in December is very doable. Our Fitzroy venue has a function room that seats fifty, and the Carlton venue has a semi private area for forty. Which suburb suits your group better?
OrganiserFitzroy would be better for us.
AgentThe Fitzroy function room is available on a few December dates. For a group that size on a Friday the minimum spend is three thousand five hundred, with a set menu from fifty five dollars a head.
OrganiserThat is workable. It is Grace Adeyemi.
AgentThanks Grace. I have texted you the available December dates, the package options and the minimum spend, and flagged it for our functions manager to call you tomorrow.
What happened at full capacity
  • Function enquiry answered rather than ringing out mid service
  • Right venue matched to the group size and preferred suburb
  • Minimum spend and package options quoted consistently
  • Available dates texted and the functions manager briefed
One number, every venue

Stop asking guests to work out which venue to ring

Publish one number. Behind it, bookings route by venue, functions reach whoever quotes them, and busy venues overflow to quieter ones instead of ringing out.

December is decided in October and answered by nobody

Hospitality demand spikes into the Christmas function season, and that is exactly when your venues are fullest and your rostered team is most stretched.

An AI agent gives you phone capacity that does not appear on a roster. Every booking taken, every function quoted, and confirmations made the day before so your covers actually turn up.

Your phone should know which venue is wanted

Uniden Voice connects to more than a thousand apps and offers open APIs, so a call can arrive with the guest, the venue and their booking history attached rather than just a number.

01 · ON THE RING

Screen pops before you say hello

The caller's name, their history and their open booking appear on the handset or in the app as it rings, so the first thing out of your mouth is their name and not "who am I speaking with".

02 · DURING THE CALL

Click to call from anywhere

Ring a guest straight from the record in your bookings or venue system, without ever typing a number. Fewer wrong numbers, and every call logged against the right file automatically.

03 · AFTER THE CALL

Notes that write themselves

Recording, transcript, AI summary and the next action land in your CRM or your shared drive. Nobody has to remember what was promised on a Friday afternoon.

Why Uniden, and not the other twelve

An Australian voice across every venue you run

Plenty of platforms will sell you AI. Very few sound Australian, and almost none come from a brand Australians have known since 1966.

Onshore, end to end

Designed and built in Australia, hosted in Australian datacentres, and supported by Australians you can actually get on the phone. Your customer conversations do not leave the country.

An accent that lands

The AI answers in a genuine Australian voice. It matters, because a caller who thinks they have reached an offshore call centre hangs up before you get the chance to help them.

Desk, pocket and back office

The EVOC2 desk handset where you want something solid to grab, plus real Uniden apps for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. Same number, whether you are at a desk or on the floor.

One provider, one bill

Keep your numbers including 1300 and 1800, and take the NBN connection from us too. Fewer vendors to chase when something goes wrong at the worst possible moment.

Straight answers

The questions venue operators ask us first

Can one number serve several venues?

Yes, and it is usually the fastest improvement. You advertise one number and the agent works out which venue suits the enquiry, by suburb, by group size or by what the guest asks for.

Each venue can still keep its own direct number and greeting, and busy venues can overflow to quieter ones rather than ringing out.

Does it reduce no shows?

It attacks them directly. Outbound AI agents can call or text every booking the day before, which is the job that never gets done when a venue is busy.

For most operators, cutting no shows is worth more than the additional bookings the agent captures.

Will your casual staff be able to use it?

Yes, because it looks like the apps they already use. Calls, transfers, messages and internal chat live in one Uniden app on the desktop or their phone, and the EVOC2 desk handset behaves like a desk phone.

Anything clever, such as who a call reaches at 4pm on a Sunday, is configured centrally by you. New starters do not need to learn any of it. They just answer.

We run more than one venue. Does it handle that?

That is where it earns its keep. You advertise one number and we route behind it: by venue, by time of day, by queue, with overflow so a call at a flat out venue rings somewhere quieter instead of ringing out.

Each venue can keep its own greeting and its own direct number as well. Reporting rolls up across all of them, so you can finally compare how each one handles its phone.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. Number portability is standard, including 1300 and 1800 numbers, so the number on every venue number, your menus and your listings and on years of Google results stays exactly as it is.

We port it across and plan the cutover around your hours, not ours.

What happens if the internet drops?

Calls keep flowing. The mobile app keeps working over 4G and 5G, so your people can answer on their handsets while a site connection is down, and call flows can be set to divert to mobiles automatically.

You can also take your NBN service from Uniden Voice, so the connection and the phone system are one provider with one support number, instead of two companies each suggesting the problem belongs to the other.

How long does it take to get running?

A single site can be live quickly, because the apps need no hardware and the handsets arrive ready to plug in. The part worth doing properly is the call flow and the AI agent's knowledge of your business, and we build that with you rather than handing you a manual.

Number porting is the one step with an external timeline, so we usually run your new setup alongside the old line until the port completes. You never trade a day without a phone.
